frequently asked questions
When should I arrive and when do we head home?
Check-in at the estate begins at 4pm on Friday, May 17th. Activities begin at 6pm.
The retreat concludes at 10am Monday, May 20th after a celebratory Champagne breakfast.
Please ensure that your flight times will allow for you to arrive and depart the retreat relaxed and on-time.
What airport should I fly into?
Temecula is centrally located within Southern California, close to two international airports: Ontario International Airport (ONT) and San Diego International Airport (SAN); and a popular commercial airport: John Wayne Airport, Orange County (SNA).
Ontario International Airport is located approximately 53 miles from Temecula, and San Diego International Airport is about 57 miles. Both airports are approximately a 45-minute drive from the estate. John Wayne Airport is a bit further, located 67 miles from Temecula, about a 55-minute drive. The traffic though from this airport can be very challenging.
Ground transportation to and from the airport will be at the guest's expensive. Taxi service or uber is a great option for any travel during the retreat, however if you’re planning to spend your free time seeing the sights of Temecula or if you’re planning to extend your trip in the region, a rental car may be your best option. If you’re interested in carpooling with another retreat guest, please email us at email@example.com and we will reach out to the group on your behalf.
Are all of my meals provided?
Breakfast and lunch will be provided daily as well as dinner and wine on the first night of the retreat. Dinner on Saturday night will be on your own to visit the outstanding restaurants of Old Town Temecula. On Sunday, the cost of the wine tasting tour will be covered by Coming Clean as well as transportation to and from the Farewell Dinner, the cost of the dinner however is at the guest’s expense.
The kitchen at the estate will also be fully stocked with snacks and non-alcoholic beverages you can enjoy throughout the day.
What if I have dietary restrictions?
Each of the meals provided during the retreat feature farm-to-table fresh ingredients that can be modified for a vegetarian diet. If you have specific medical dietary restrictions, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will try our best to accommodate your request. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee nut-free, gluten-free, paleo, or strictly organic menu options.
Will there be free time during the retreat to just relax and explore the sights of Temecula?
Definitely! The retreat offers a balance of powerful personal-growth work and interactive group exercises with fun games and excursions, and plenty of free time to relax and visit the sights of Temecula Valley. And remember, free time is your time. Attendees are not required to spend their free time with other retreat guests.
How many women will attend the retreat?
Maximum of 10. Coming Clean retreats are designed to be small and intimate to create the best environment group coaching; and to ensure that each guest receives a personalized retreat experience.
Can I share my room with a friend?
Each of the seven rooms at the estate are private with one king-size or queen-size bed. There are no traditional shared accommodations. However, if you’d like to attend the retreat with a female friend and share your room and bed, a limited amount of shared accommodations are available. Please see the registration options above for details.
After I register for the retreat, what happens next?
Once you reserve your room and receive your booking confirmation, we'll send you a short personal questionnaire that helps us get to know a little bit about you and what you hope to acheive by attending the retreat. The goal of a Coming Clean retreat is to create the best environment for self-discovery, personal-growth, adventure, and shared laughter. The questionnaire helps us to personalize this experience.
After completing the questionnaire, each attendee will also receive a 30-minute call from retreat leader and coach Sarah Carmichael to welcome you to the Coming Clean community and to answer any questions you may have about the retreat or the group coaching experience.
Attendees can also expect to receive email notifications of itinerary updates and news as the retreat draws near.
What should I bring to the retreat?
Check out our recommended packing list.
Do I need to purchase travel insurance?
We highly recommend retreat attendees purchase comprehensive travel insurance to protect themselves from the unexpected. If you need to cancel your trip after the retreat’s refund window has closed, travel insurance will reimburse your investment. If you get injured or fall ill while at the retreat, or God forbid, a natural disaster happens and the retreat is compromised, comprehensive travel insurance will protect you and your money.
Coming Clean does not offer refunds to attendees who cancel within 45 days of the retreat, and all cancellations between March 19th and April 3rd, 2019, are subject to our $500 non-refundable administration fee. Please view our Cancellation Policy below for more details.
All retreat attendees must sign a liability waiver acknowledging the risks involved in participating the retreat and removing Coming Clean’s legal liability should unfortunate incidents occur.
Are there any discounts?
All of Sarah Carmichael’s clients currently enrolled in a 1:1 or group coaching program are eligible for a 10% discount off their first Coming Clean retreat. Clients must email email@example.com to obtain their coupon code before booking.
What is the cancellation policy?
All bookings are subject to a non-refundable $500 administration fee. For cancellations before March 19th, 2019 (60 days before the retreat), we offer a full refund of the retreat fees. For cancellations between March 19th and April 3rd, 2019, a full refund minus the $500 non-refundable administration fee will be offered. After April 3rdd, 2019 there no refunds. There are also no refunds for guests who decide to leave the retreat early. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
Why is there a non-refundable administration fee?
When planning a retreat there are many moving parts and many non-refundable expenditures that must be paid in advance to make the retreat happen. When a guest cancels their booking, the time and administrative costs paid out for this guest cannot be recouped. The $500 non-refundable administration fee helps cover these costs.
